Sometimes an outing is delayed by a very small search. One shoe is under a chair, the other is upstairs, and the jacket you wanted has disappeared behind several coats.
Give the things you use most often one convenient place. Keep a suitable pair of shoes together, hang the everyday outer layer within reach and return the keys to the same spot. Leave walkways and exits clear; convenience should not create a trip hazard.
This is not a reason to buy a collection of new equipment. Use what already suits your usual routes. The goal is to shorten the distance between deciding to go out and being ready to leave.
Check the arrangement after a few days. If the shoes are still migrating, perhaps the storage is awkward or shared with too many other things. A small basket, a lower hook or simply removing items you rarely use may solve more than another resolution to be organized.
