When you open a page

Delivering a website involves technical requests to its hosting infrastructure. The hosting provider may process information such as an IP address, request time, requested page, browser details and security events to serve content and protect the service. We do not use that information to build advertising profiles.

Our own site code does not set cookies or use browser local storage. Images, styles and scripts are served with the website. Search and subject filters work on the article list in your browser; we do not maintain a search-history database. Search words may appear in the page address and your browser history if you submit the search, so avoid entering private information.

A preview or hosting access service may separately require sign-in or use essential authentication technologies. Those platform functions are governed by the provider’s terms and privacy information, rather than the article-search code.

When you write to the desk

If you send an email, we receive your address, message and any information or attachments you include. We use correspondence to respond, investigate an issue, consider a correction or handle a request. Do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for the issue and has been requested through an appropriate channel.

Contact links open your chosen email service. This site does not include an upload form, public comment system, newsletter subscription or visitor account database. We do not automatically add correspondents to a mailing list.

Services and other websites

Hosting, security and email providers may process information needed to supply their services. Information may also be disclosed where necessary to comply with applicable law or protect the service and its users. We do not sell personal information or use it for cross-site targeted advertising.

Some articles link to official guidance and other external pages. Opening a link sends you to another service with its own practices. We do not control that service. Depending on the provider, technical information or correspondence may be processed in a different country.

How long information is kept

Correspondence is kept while needed to address the matter, maintain a useful record of a correction or meet applicable obligations. The appropriate period depends on the nature of the request. Hosting and email providers manage technical records and backups under their own retention arrangements; deleting an active message may not immediately remove every backup copy.

Reasonable care is taken with information, but no website or email service can promise absolute security. This publication is intended for a general adult audience and does not knowingly seek personal information from children. If a child has sent information, contact us so the matter can be reviewed.

Choices and requests

You can read without contacting us, limit what you put in an email and use your browser’s privacy controls. Depending on where you live and the law that applies, you may be entitled to request access, correction, deletion or other action concerning your personal information, or to complain to a relevant data-protection authority.

Send a request to admin@activelifestylemaven.com with enough context to locate the relevant correspondence. We may need proportionate information to verify that a request concerns you. Please do not send identity documents with an initial request. We will consider the request and any applicable requirements or exceptions.

Changes and contact

If the site’s information practices change, this page will be updated with a new effective date. Questions about this policy can be sent to the same publication address, using “Privacy request” as the subject.
